RICHLAND, Wash.- It's a fairly young sport that's gaining a lot of popularity and the national championship will be played here in the Tri-Cities.
Saturday RedDot Paintball in Richland hosts the national speedball league game between the Washington whites and the Reno bighorns from Nevada. The Washington team is mostly made up of Tri-Cities residents. Today, the visiting team walked the course and planned out their offensive and defensive maneuvers.
"Anybody can play paintball. It only takes a few minutes to figure out. You don't have to be a super athlete or anything, but it is just a lot of fun and it can be pretty intense."
The pre-game show begins around 9 a.m. Saturday out in Richland at RedDot paintball off highway 240. The game starts at 10 am. It's five dollars to watch and you'll get an up-close look at all the paintball action.
