WAPATO, Wash.--The scores are back for the State High School Proficiency Exam, and Wapato High School is celebrating.
The staff said 10th graders showed exceptional improvement with double digit gains in three of the four areas.
The principal said it's nice to see the hard work of the students and teachers pay off, and it can only help the success of their school district.
"These are all state requirements for graduation and so where it helps the most, increasing the graduation rates, validating what we are doing as a staff and as a district," said Eric Diener, the Wapato High School Principal.
The principal said they still have a long way to go, and the staff will consistently monitor student achievement data to fine tune their instruction.
