Farmers Clinic Sponsors "Family Day" At Fair

Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, Wash. -- The final day of the Fair was sponsored by the Yakima Valley Farm Worker's Clinic.

Volunteers were at the Fair talking to people about the changes to health care taking effect October 1st. They want to help families transition to the new rules.

"We just want to get the message out that there is a new law that's going to open up the doors for health care," Jennifer Collins, Director of Marketing for the Farm Workers Clinic said, "to make it affordable for people who never were able to get that before, come talk to us, and we'll help you figure it out."

The Clinic made Sunday "Family Day" at the Fair. Any family of five received half off admission for the entire family.
