KENNEWICK, Wash.- The Richland Kennel Club was setup to host it's annual dog shows. This year is the 80th annual event.
The kennel club is one of the oldest in the nation. Dogs and their humans from all over the region entered in different categories and advanced along within their breeds all the way to best in show.
"The Richland Kennel Club is the biggest reason why this show has any success at all because the time and effort they put into it," said Charles Ames, the president of the Richland Kennel Club. "The people that stay on the grounds at night, the people here all night doing the parking to the people who are here early in the morning to set up."
The kennel club puts in plenty of work over their dog show weekend. Thousands of dogs are entered in the competitions and it takes plenty of volunteers to keep them all in order.
