RICHLAND, Wash. -- A Richland woman is in jail on multiple felony charges after a routine traffic stop in Richland Sunday afternoon.

30-year-old Casey Ayers of Richland and 23-year-old Brandon Coffey of Kennewick were arrested at 5:10 Sunday afternoon.

Ayers admitted to having four warrants out for her arrest after officers cited the driver of the car for equipment violations.  As Ayers exited the car, officers spotted a syringe with a clear liquid inside on the floor of the car near Brandon Coffey's feet.

Police arrested and charged Coffy with Possession of Methamphetamine.  He was later released.

Police booked Ayers on two felony warrants for Possession of Methamphetamine, a felony warrant for I.D. Theft and a felony warrant for Theft of a Motor Vehicle.

The driver of the car was not charged with a crime but Richland Police impounded the car.
