FREDERICKSON, Wash. -- The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado touched down in western Washington about 45 miles south of Seattle early Monday morning.

The tornado moved through an industrial area about 7:20 a-am local time in Frederickson, causing damage to buildings and tipping a train off its tracks.

According to a spokesman at a Boeing Production Plant, the tornado went between two manufacturing buildings.

One Boeing building received slight damage and several warehouses and factories near the two plants also sustained damage.

There were no reports of injuries.

The tornado capped off a weekend of severe weather in much of western Washington.
