Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, Wash.--Daniel Blizzard pleaded not guilty Monday to the attempted murder of a 78-year-old Yakima realtor.

According to court documents, Blizzard and his brothers were going to buy Vern Holbrook's business and carry a million dollar life insurance policy on Holbrook.

When the brothers failed to make some payments, the deal was revoked.

Court documents show Blizzard helped make arrangements to have the older man killed.

Holbrook is still in the hospital suffering from brain damage.
