Ben Franklin Transit Launches Night and Sunday Service

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - After canceling their night service a few years back, Ben Franklin Transit is keeping their promise to bring it back.

Starting Tuesday, riders will be able to request late night and Sunday rides through Ben Franklin Transit contractor, Tri-City Taxi.

"If you wanted to ride at night after the buses had quit, you would call them at 2:00 and reserve your ride for anything in the evening. They would come to your house and pick you up and take you where you wanted to go," said Christy Watts from Ben Franklin Transit.

Starting Tuesday, the night service will begin at  6:30 p.m. and run through 2:00 a.m. The Sunday service begins October 6th, and will run from 7:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

You must make reservations for the rides by calling 545 - 0684. The rides cost $3.00 each way.
