KPD Arrest Two Minors for Car Prowling & Theft

KENNWICK, Wash. - Two teenagers are in custody, after police found them stealing items from cars.

The incident happened in the parking lot of  the Hawaiian Village Apartments, located at 1105 W. 10th Avenue in Kennewick, Monday evening. 

Police say a concerned citizen called 911 and reported that two males were looking into parked cars and trying door handles. When police arrived, they found a 13-year-old and a 16-year-old in possession of electronic items and a woman's wallet. 

Officer's were able to determine the items were stolen from cars at the apartment complex. Both males were booked into the Juvenile Justice Center for vehicle prowling and theft. 

KPD says to avoid being the victim of car theft, remember to take all valuables from your car and never leave your car unlocked.
