SALEM, Ore. - People living in Oregon will have to wait to enroll for health insurance through President Obama's health care overhaul.
Directors at Cover Oregon, the state's insurance marketplace, say while the marketplace was supposed to go live Tuesday, it is still experience glitches.
Cover Oregon says the online system is not correctly determining eligibility for tax credits, the Oregon Health Plan and Healthy Kids, but the problem should be resolved later in October.
Starting Tuesday, people in Oregon can find certified insurance agents or community organizations to help them start the process of finding health insurance, and they can browse through insurance options and price estimates. Nobody will be able to enroll in coverage however, until the problems are fixed.
