HAPPENING TODAY: Don't Miss Spokane's 'Epic Beard Competition!'

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane Beard and Mustache Club is putting on a party you don't want to miss. While having fun is one of their top priorities, giving back to the community and other non-profit organizations is just as important.

This Saturday, October 5th, the Spokane Beard and Mustache Club is organizing Spokane's "Epic Beard Competition" and all the proceeds will go to Spokane Guilds School.

Several different categories will be judged including "Whiskerina" which is the women's only category where mustaches and beards of any size and material are acceptable.

Where: The Vault Social Club @ 120 N. Wall

When: 7pm

Tickets are $5.00

To enter in the competition it's just $20.00

All proceeds go to Spokane Guilds School.

    Emergency crews are on the scene of a plane crash just north of the Showdown ski areaIt happened earlier this afternoon just after 1pm near mile marker 30 on US Highway 89 near the Kings Hill recreation area in the Lewis and Clark National Forest. A Federal Aviation official says the plane had four people aboard but there was no immediate word on injuries.
