YAKIMA, WA-- It is the end of the hop harvest in the valley, and the city of Yakima is getting ready to celebrate one of the regions biggest crops and raise money for local art programs.
Saturday is the Fresh Hop Ale Fest and fundraiser put on by the Allied Arts of Yakima Valley to showcase local breweries and get raise money for the arts.
The executive director of Allied Arts said this event will help the organization move forward with their programs.
"How can we make these things better and bigger for the community and this Fresh Hop Ale Fest is really going to be the spring board that we do those exciting things," said executive director, Robb Wasielewski
The festival runs from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. at night at Millennium Park on South Third Street.
Tickets are still available, and all the money collected will go towards developing art and performance programs at Allied Arts.
