UPDATE FROM THE MOSCOW POLICE DEPT: The Moscow Police Department has made two arrests after an armed robbery.
On Tuesday evening, October 1,
2013 information was received on the identities and involvement of two possible
suspects in the armed robbery. As a result of tips received and additional
interviews, Moscow detectives were able to develop probable cause for the
arrests of the following suspects for robbery on Wednesday, October 2,
1) Juvenile male, 17
years of age of Genesee
2) Bailey Westgate, 18
years of age of Moscow
The 17-year-old is currently in
juvenile detention in Lewiston awaiting further court proceedings.
Westgate was arrested by the Spokane Police and is currently awaiting
extradition proceedings to be returned to Latah County.

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE MOSCOW POLICE DEPT: On Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 3:54 a.m. officers responded to 1044 West Pullman Road at the Stinker Station to a reported armed robbery.
Information provided by the clerk was that two males entered the store, immediately brandished handguns and demanded the money from the till. One of the suspects pointed a handgun at two customers inside the store and demanded them to put their cell phones on the counter and covered them while the clerk put cash from the till in a brown paper bag.
Both suspects left the store on foot in a north direction after being handed the bag of cash and a carton of Marlboro cigarettes by the clerk.
Both suspects were described as being 5'7" to 5'11", thin built, wearing black plastic masks and blue gloves.
One suspect was wearing black pants and a black hoodie and the second suspect was wearing a black hoodie and brown pants. The weapons were described as semi-automatic type pistols, black in color with a silver barrel.
No injuries occurred to the three victims.
