Lawsuit Filed Against Yakima Doctor Accused of Sexual Assault

Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, WA - A Yakima woman is now suing a local physician and clinic claiming the doctor sexually assaulted her during medical exams.  The lawsuit also demands changes be made at the clinic.

Tamaki Law filed the lawsuit on behalf of the woman Wednesday, against Fady F. Sabry, M.D., and Central Washington Internal Medicine.

Wednesday morning the Medical Quality Assurance Commission and the Washington Department of Health announced they'd suspended Sabry's license.

Yakima police arrested Sabry last month, saying he'd assaulted a female patient.

Earlier this week, detectives said more victims have come forward. According to police, the victims worked with Sabry at the Central Washington Internal Medical Clinic. Police say Sabry assaulted the two women earlier this year while treating them for back pain. Detectives say the women didn't come forward sooner because they were afraid of losing their jobs.

Sabry is charged with second-degree rape. A Yakima County Superior Court judge set his bail at two million dollars.
