Chiefs To Host Leinenkugel Hocktoberfest

SPOKANE, Wash. -

The Spokane Chiefs are holding the 3rd annual Leinenkugel Hocktoberfest on Saturday, October 19, prior to their game vs. the Victoria Royals. As part of the festivities, Leinenkugel will be giving away a weekend trip to Leavenworth, including hotel stay, spending cash and more. Entry is open to all fans aged 21 and over.

Fans can submit their entry on the Chiefs website under the "Enter to Win" tab, where there are also rules for participation. Five finalists will be selected from online entries while another will be selected from entries collected at the game to participate in a series of contests that will determine the winner of the trip to Leavenworth. 

Leinenkugel's Hocktoberfest will begin at 4:00 p.m. outside the Spokane Arena and have German themed food, drinks and entertainment.

      The game's only run was scored in the top of the seventh inning. After reaching base on an error, Austin O'Banion advanced to second on a walk by Clayton Middleton, went to third on a sacrifice bunt, and then scored on a single by Curtis Terry.

    • Mariners beat Braves 6-5 in Atlanta

      The 31-year-old left-hander beat his former organization, having spent most of the season at the Braves' Triple-A club. He went 12-3 but never got a call to the big leagues.

    • Walks Doom Mustangs in Loss to Osprey

      Both sides had eight hits in the game, but the Mustangs would walk six batters while Missoula walked only one.
