United Way UPS Food Drive and Golf Tournament Coming Up

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, WA. - Don't forget, there are only a few days left for you to donate to the United Way Canned Food Drive.

United Way of Benton and Franklin Counties is partnering with UPS stores to collect food for people in need through Saturday, October 5th.

There are drop off locations at the UPS stores on Road 68 in Pasco, George Washington Way in Richland, Kennewick Avenue in Kenewick, Clearwater Avenue in Kennewick, and Gage Boulevard in Kennewick.

The organizations will also hold a Scramble Golf Tournament on Saturday to support the United Way.

"Teeing Up for Hunger" has an 8:00 shotgun start at the Horn Rapids Golf Course.

If you'd like to participate, a team of four costs $320, individuals are $80. Organizers say that includes lunch, provided by Texas Roadhouse restaurants.

To register, contact Chuck Vrieling at cvrieling@ups.com or Anita Lopez at anilop01@aol.com or (509) 539-1759.

The event is sponsored by Texas Roadhouse, Community First Bank, and Desert Food Mart.
