BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Police in Boise are investigating the hit-and-run death of a pedestrian in the northern part of the city.

Officers say the man was crossing State Street when he was struck by a pickup at about 1:15 a.m. Friday.

The victim's name has not been released. Officials have been unable to find the driver.

Police say the vehicle involved may be a light gold smaller pickup that likely has damage to the front.

This is the second fatal hit-and-run in Boise in deadly hit and run crash in eight days. Officials say 53-year-old Victor Haskell of Garden City was killed when his bicycle was hit early on Sept. 26. A Boise man is charged with leaving the scene.
