Kennewick Police Department: Daily Briefing: Tuesday, October 1, 2013

C-Shift
 
Malicious Mischief/500 blk N Edison- Officer Baynes responded for a report that an
unknown suspect attempted to gain entry into the Pepsi vending machine by prying the
door and drilling out the lock. No entry was gained. Property owner advised he will
review security footage to see if a suspect can be identified.
 
Warrant Arrest/700 blk N Arthur- Officers assisted Juvenile Probation with arresting a
female for probation violation. She had marijuana in her pocket when she was arrested
and was additionally cited via JCR.
 
Suicide Attempt/2900 blk W 19th Ave- Male's girlfriend called out of concern over
suicidal statements that he was making. He recently lost his job, is depressed, and has
history of suicide attempts. He was located at a different location and taken into
protective custody, medically cleared and released to KGH/Crisis Response for further
evaluation.
 
Felony Harassment/2200 blk W Grand Ronde Ave- Complainant called for assistance
with her 14 year old son. He is 6'01 and 260lbs. He also has a history of violence against
his family. He told his mother that he was going to kill her and she was afraid that he
would. He was located at a friend's apartment and admitted to making the threatening
statements and said that he was angry with his mother. He was booked on felony
harassment hold.
 
A-Shift
 
Theft/1300 blk N Columbia Center Blvd- Complainant reported that his checkbook had
been stolen while he was at the mall today. After discovering it missing he called
Banner Bank and cancelled the checks. A short time later two suspects attempted to
cash one of the checks in Pasco. The suspects were arrested and booked into Franklin
County for forgery.

Threats/1600 blk W 46th Ave- Complainant reported that their 16 year old son
threatened to kill the entire family this evening. He apparently got into a verbal
argument with his sister. His parents tried to calm him down, however he freaked out
and made the comments about wanting to kill everyone. He ran away from home and
later posted a picture of him holding a knife and wearing a blue bandana over his face.
His parents took the threats seriously and are afraid of their son. He has a violent
history and is a gang member affiliate. Officer Rees was able to track down the suspect
and he was arrested for the threats and booked into Juvenile.
 
CAT
 
Warrant Arrest/3rd & Anderson St- Detectives were driving in the area and observed a
32 year old male walking down the street. Detectives contacted him and took him into
custody for a DOC warrant. He is also a gang member. He was booked into Benton
County Jail.

    19 year old Travis Dean LeMaster was taken into custody Tuesday evening, June 9, 2015 in the 2400 blk of West Court Street in Pasco WA on charges of 1st Degree Robbery. LeMaster was wanted in connection with the June 6, 2015 Armed robbery that took place in the parking lot of Columbia Center Mall in Kennewick, Washington. Investigators, following up an anonymous tip and with assistance of Pasco Police, located LeMaster and took him into custody.More >>

    On 4/23/2015 at 19:45 Shopko employees saw Jackie Sue Rolph concealing merchandise in a large bag. She left the story without paying for the items to a vehicle waiting for her in the parking log. She entered the vehicle and left the area. A KPD officer arrived in the area and saw the vehicle. The officer stopped the vehicle and contacted the occupants. A search warrant was served on the vehicle and all the stolen merchandise was recovered and returned to Shopko.
