Emergency responders were called to a multi-car crash in Spokane Valley Friday afternoon at the intersection of Barker and Appleway.

When firefighters arrived they upgraded the call to an extrication as someone was trapped inside one of the cars. Firefighters were able to cut a door off to get the person out and they, along with two other people, were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The roadway is now open.
