Murder Trial for Richland Teen Pushed to 2014

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, WA - A 19-year-old Richland teen charged with 1st Degree Murder will wait until February 10th, 2014, to go to trial.

Joshua Hunt and 18-year-old John Young are charged with the murder of 17-year-old Joshua Snapp on the morning of July 4th near Horn Rapids in Richland.

Hunt's attorney, Shane Silverthorn, says the new February 10th trial date is "firm" pending how long it takes to interview witnesses.  A private investigator hired by Silverthorn will look into how the witnesses knew Joshua Snapp, the history of animosity between Hunt, Young and Snapp and any previous disputes between the three teens.

Hunt will appear again in court on November 6th for an omnibus hearing.
