FINLEY, WA - A violent assault in a public place left one Benton County teen sitting in juvenile detention.

Police tell us it was a bit of a scuffle on Friday. At the General Store in Finley, words were exchanged between two young women and it was all caught on a security camera. NBC Right Now is the only news team with the exclusive video.

In the video, the tension quickly escalated into some intense fighting. After some pushing back and forth one of the girls opened her trunk and pulled out an aluminum baseball bat. She started swinging at the other girl who initially blocked off some of the shots.

A young man then jumps in and pushes the girls, appearing to try to pull them off of each other. The girl with the bat and the young man drove off, but returned after calling the police. The other girl was not seriously hurt.

When County Sheriff's Deputies arrived they arrested the bat-wielding girl. She was booked for 2nd degree assault and placed in juvenile detention. The names of the teens involved will not be released because they were all minors.
