Consumer Protection Act Remains Part of Richland Florist Lawsuit

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - A Benton County Judge said a Richland florist may have violated the Consumer Protection Act.

The State and the ACLU filed discrimination lawsuits against Barronelle Stutzman, the owner of Arlene's Flowers, after she refused to arrange flowers for a gay wedding.

Stutzman's attorneys asked to throw out that piece of the lawsuit last week but Judge Sal Mendoza denied the motion on Monday.
