ALERT: Man Shot In NE Spokane; Suspect On The Loose

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE SPOKANE POLICE DEPT: On 10-10-13 around 5:30am the Spokane Police Department responded to a shooting call at 2608 N Martin. Upon arrival, officers located a male with an apparent gunshot wound to the chest.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The suspect from the shooting fled the area on foot. A K-9 track was attempted, however the suspect was not located. Police are looking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspect. He is described as:

·         White male

·         30-40 years old

·         5'6" with a solid build

·         Calloused hands

·         Dark hair

·         Wearing dark shirt and sunglasses

PREVIOUS STORY:

SPOKANE, Wash. - Around 5:40 Thursday morning police responded to shots fired in the 2600 block of N. Martin. Police found a man with a gunshot wound who was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries.

Police have set up a perimeter and are actively searching for the suspect who is described as a white male in his 30's or 40's with dark hair and wearing a dark shirt and sunglasses. He is believed to be armed with a hand gun and dangerous. 

Spokane Police Department are executing a search warrant on a residence in the area.

Police are advising everyone to stay inside and if you see anything or have any information, call police immediately. 

2600 block of N. Martin is closed for investigation.

    SPOKANE, Wash.- Thursday night there was a candlelight vigil held for Chris and Sheena Henderson in Franklin Park. The vigil was overseen by a Spokane Police Chaplain. He said that today's vigil was about hope, help, healing, and ultimately, forgiveness.On July 8th, Spokane police say 37-year-old Chris Henderson went to the Deaconess Medical Center complex where his wife, 30-year-old Sheena Henderson, worked and shot her multiple times.
