Several Area Schools Deemed "Highest Improving" in Washington

BELLEVUE, WA - The Center for Educational Effectiveness has named several schools in southeastern Washington as a 2013 School of Distinction award winner.

The award went to schools that showed "outstanding improvement in student achievement over 5 years."

The winners are:

Cle Elum Roslyn High (Cle Elum/Roslyn)

Moxee Elementary (Yakima)

Kittitas High (Kittitas)

Union Gap School (Union Gap)

Wide Hollow Elementary (Yakima)

Mid-Columbia Parent Partnership (Kennewick)

James McGee Elementary (Pasco)

Ruth Livingston Elementary (Pasco)

Pomeroy Jr./Sr. High (Pomeroy)

Sacajawea Elementary (Richland)

The CEE, the Association of Educational Service Districts, the Association of Washington School Principals, the Washington Association of School Administrators and the Washington State School Directors' Association selected 55 elementary schools, 24 middle schools and 23 high schools throughout Washington as award winners.
