Annual Fur-Ball Happening This Weekend in Yakima

Yakima, WA-- It is time again for the Yakima Humane Society's biggest fundraiser of the year.

The fourth annual Fur-Ball is happening Saturday at the Fourth Street Theatre in downtown Yakima.

The gala starts at 5:30 Saturday night with a cocktail hour and silent auction.

The Humane Society said this event has really made a big impact on the organization and the animals.

"In years past the community actually has raised as much as between $40,000 to $50,000 for the shelter and especially for homeless pets that are looking for a great home," said Yakima Humane Society Volunteer Coordinator, Erica Seaver-Engel.

Proceeds from the Fur-Ball go directly to provide food, shelter and medical treatment for the animals at the Yakima Humane Society.

The event is for people 21-years-old and older.
