Meet 3 Of The Young Women Competing In Miss Washington USA This Weekend

KHQ.COM - The Miss Washington USA and Miss Washington Teen USA pageants will be held October 18th and 19th at the Highline Performing Arts Center in Burien, WA. Contestants will be judged on three criteria: 1/3 interview, 1/3 evening gown and 1/3 swimwear.

Meet three of the dozens of women who will be competing:

Competing for the job of Miss Washington USA 2014:

Allyson Rowe: Spokane Valley USA 2013
Allyson is a skincare specialist, loves teaching and playing the piano, and writing music. Her heart is to inspire young woman and children to see how incredibly valuable they are in this world. She aspires to providing a place where young woman and children rescued from sex trafficking can pursue their own dreams and goals. She believes that all things are possible; and with patience and dedication, you will see your dreams come true.

Emma Baker: Miss Whitman County USA 2013
Emma is a 22-year-old resident of Pullman, Washington. She has worked in L.A. as a model, radio host, and commercial actress in national and regional campaigns since the age of 16. Now, Emma is focused on modeling and hosting opportunities in the Pacific Northwest. Uniquely optimistic and driven to succeed, Emma feels blessed by the opportunity to work again with the Miss Universe Organization. She placed 2nd Runner Up at Miss Teen USA 2010.

Competing for the job of Miss Washington Teen USA 2014:

Erin Kaya: Miss Spokane Teen USA 2013
A senior and AP student, Erin is treasurer of National Honor Society, DECA's social media correspondent, founder & captain of the Math team, and involved with yearbook, chess club, and cross country.She loves studying cultures and languages: Turkish, French, Spanish, and Hebrew. Erin's greatest achievement is earning her pilot's license. Her passion is giving to the community, and sits on the teen boards at Ronald McDonald House and Mobius Science center. She plansto attend medical school.

    MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A Minnesota doctor accused of illegally prescribing an opioid for Prince a week before the musician died has agreed to pay $30,000 to settle a federal civil claim. The settlement comes as state prosecutors are planning to announce whether anyone will be charged in the two-year investigation into Prince's death. Prince died on April 21, 2016, from an accidental overdose of fentanyl, a synthetic opioid. No one has been criminally charged.

    FLINT, Mich. - Police say a 26-year-old Michigan woman left her two infant daughters inside a suitcase on the side of the road as child welfare workers arrived to take the children away. Police say officers assisting Child Protective Services workers Wednesday were unable to find the children inside the Flint home, about 50 miles northwest of Detroit.

Patrick Warburton is a Devils fan and in a 1995 episode of the hit show he appeared with his face painted in red and green.
