YAKIMA, WA -- The trial of a Yakima man accused of feeding drugs to minors and having sex with them started Monday.

39-year-old Travis Padgett is accused of giving two 14-year-old boys meth and then making them perform sex acts with him. The jury heard opening arguments from both sides Monday morning.

"(One of the victims) will describe to you not just this act of sexual intercourse, but many other acts of sexual intercourse during the time period charged," Prosecutor Patti Powers said in her opening argument.

"At the conclusion of that evidence," Defense Attorney Wes Raber said. "I'm not going to ask you to like my client but I am going to ask you to find him not guilty."

The trial is expected to last two weeks.
