Former Grandview Neptunes President Pleads Guilty to Theft

YAKIMA, Wash. - The former president of a Grandview youth swim program and his wife have admitted to stealing from the program.

Investigators say Paul and Yvonne Renee VanPelt used more than $8,000 of Grandview Neptunes swim team funds for personal purchases at places like Wal-Mart, Hotels.com and Victoria's Secret.

In Yakima County Superior Court on Monday, 41-year-old Yvonne Renee VanPelt pleaded guilty to second-degree theft.

36-year-old Paul VanPelt pleaded guilty to third-degree theft.

A judge sentenced them both to 10 days of electronic home monitoring.
