Toppenish Man Arrested, Accused of Robbing Convenience Store

TOPPENISH, WA. - A Toppenish man is now behind bars, accused of robbing a convenience store in September.

Officers arrested the 36-year-old man Sunday during an unrelated traffic stop. He is accused of robbing the Valley View Market at gunpoint. Officers say he also fired two shots toward the clerk before making off with the money.

The suspect is facing charges for first degree robbery, first degree assault, and first degree unlawful possession of a firearm.
