OVERLAND PARK, Kan., Oct. 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- QTS Realty Trust, Inc. today announced that the underwriters of its initial public offering exercised in full their option to purchase an additional 1,837,500 shares of Class A common stock, $0.01 par value per share, at the initial public offering price of $21.00 per share, less underwriting discounts and commissions. Including the exercise of the option to purchase additional shares, the Company issued a total of 14,087,500 shares of Class A common stock. The shares of Class A common stock began trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "QTS" on October 9, 2013. The initial public offering closed today, October 15, 2013.
The Company contributed the net proceeds of the offering to its operating partnership. The Company intends to use the net proceeds of the offering to repay amounts outstanding under its revolving credit facility.
Goldman, Sachs & Co., Jefferies LLC, BofA Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., KeyBanc Capital Markets Inc. and Morgan Stanley are joint book-running managers for the offering and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, Incorporated are co-managers for the offering.
