YAKIMA, WA.--A man accused of murdering an Outlook family more than 20 years ago is back in court to ask for a shorter sentence, but gets 5 more years in prison instead.
In the 1990s, Joel Ramos admitted to killing a family of four, including two young boys. A judge originally gave Ramos four, 20-year sentences to be served consecutively. He wanted to serve them at the same time.
The judge then added five years because of the severity of the murders. Ramos will now serve 85 years.
