KENNEWICK, WA - Lamb Weston employees are stepping out of the plant to help build new homes for families in the Tri-Cities.
Over one hundred Lamb Weston employees are donating their time to Habitat for Humanity this week. On Tuesday volunteers helped dig water lines, grade dirt for a driveway, and even worked on dry wall and sealing.
Crews say even though they don't have much experience, it's worth the effort.
"To people that really need it, that will have a new house to move in to. It's very exciting to contribute toward that. We're very very thankful that we can do this and we're able to have a large workforce to have that contribution that size," said Lamb Weston organizer, Marnie Spriggle.
This is just one of the many charitable projects Lamb Weston employees participate in throughout the year.
