Bucannon Named To Midseason All-America Team

PULLMAN, Wash. -

Washington State senior safety Deone Bucannon was named the CBSSports.com Midseason All-America Second Team, the website announced Tuesday.

Bucannon enters the week leading the Pac-12 Conference in tackles with 64 and tied for second with a team-high four interceptions. He has tallied double-digit tackles twice this season, 14 at Auburn and 12 in the win at California. The Fairfield, Calif. native is currently fourth in WSU history with 13 career interceptions and tied for fifth in career tackles with 334.

Prior to the season, Bucannon was named to the Jim Thorpe Award Watch List, the Preseason All-American Second Team by Athlon sports and Phil Steel Magazine.
