UPDATE: KENNEWICK, WA - Kennewick Police say they have determined a description of the truck that injured two people in a hit-and-run collision earlier this week.

Officers say they're looking for a newer dark blue or gray extended cab Dodge pickup truck with a similar colored canopy on the bed of the truck. Police say the canopy had a center rear brake light and windows all around, and the front of the truck had a light colored, possibly chrome grill. The wheels were a lighter color, possibly gray.

Officers say the truck was last seen driving east on 10th Avenue from South Washington Street earlier this week.

KENNEWICK, WA - Kennewick Police are looking for a suspect at the center of a hit and run Wednesday evening.

Police say 18-year-old Daniel Reyes and 44-year-old Floriza Vejar were walking across 10th Avenue at Washington Street around 6:40pm in the crosswalk when an unknown vehicle heading southbound on Washington turned east onto 10th Avenue and hit both Reyes and Vejar.

After the accident, the vehicle left the scene, leaving the victims in the street.

When Vejar was hit, she was carrying a small dog. Luckily, the dog was not injured and a good Samaritan was able to catch the dog and hold it until Vejar got ahold of a friend to pick the dog up.

Reyes and Vejar were taken to Trios Health, where they were treated and released.

The Kennewick Police Department is working on several leads to identify the driver of the suspect vehicle. If you have any tips, please contact KPD.
