NBC Right Now Helps Reunite Puppy With Owners

Posted: Updated:

NBCRightNow.com - A puppy is now back with her owners after NBC Right Now stepped in and helped reunite them Thursday afternoon.

It all started Wednesday night with a hit and run in Kennewick. It was just after 6:30 when a mother and her son were taking a walk here near 10th Ave. and Washington St. A pickup hit them in a crosswalk and their little puppy was left running around in the commotion.

A good samaritan picked up Pelosa and on Thursday she got a hold of NBC Right Now when she couldn't get a hold of its owners.

Floriza and her son Daniel are pretty banged up, but this afternoon NBC Right Now was able to take them to meet that good samaritan and get their puppy back.

"We were at eight seconds left for us to cross and a car from red apple side, came crossing and hit me with his rim on my chest and my mom from her side," Daniel said while explaining the accident.

The two spent some time in the hospital Wednesday night and are back home with some stitches, big bump, and bruises.

Police are still investigating and anyone with information can call Kennewick police.
