Heroes Walk For Fundraiser In Richland

Posted: Updated:

RICHLAND, WA - We had a chilly start to our Saturday, but that didn't stop people from walking to support the Tri-Cities Pregnancy Network.

Saturday was their walk for life. This year's theme was be a hero, so there were plenty of batmans, supermans and wonder womans dressed up to raise money for the group. Their work includes giving healthy and supportive options to teens who are pregnant or have a child.

"We do three big fundraisers a year and so this is our fall one," said Tamra Meyer the event organizer. "It's definitely a big one. It's the biggest one for the community because everyone can get involved."

Walkers raised funds mostly through personalized pages they setup online. They collected donations from sponsors and that money will go right into the Tri-Cities Pregnancy Network.
