Head On Collision On N. Government Way

SPOKANE, Wash. - Around 7:00 Monday morning a head on collision occurred near 508 N. Government Way.

A woman driving the red car crossed over the median and hit an oncoming vehicle head on. That woman was conscious after the crash but is in serious condition and was transported to the hospital.

The car that was struck was a blue car carrying a family of five. One child in that car was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Everyone was wearing seat belts.

    KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho - The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man they believe hit a 13-year-old boy with his car over the weekend near the state line.  Billy B. Swift of Newman Lake was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident and inattentive driving.  The boy's father said his son went to grab a snack from the gas station near their home Saturday night when a car veered off the road.
