Teen Killed in ATV vs Tractor Accident North of Zillah

Posted: Updated:

ZILLAH, WA - Washington State Patrol says an ATV versus farm tractor accident turned deadly Monday afternoon north of Zillah.

Troopers say 15-year-old Ezekiel Bowman was driving a Polaris Trailboss 330 ATV southbound on Lucy Lane at a high speed when he rear-ended a tractor.

The driver of tractor, 30-year-old Jaime Chavez, was not injured.

Bowman was taken to Yakima Memorial Hospital where he died.

Troopers say the cause of the accident was "failure to control speed." No charges have been filed.
