Level III Sex Offender Moving into the Kennewick Area

KENNEWICK, WA. - Kennewick police want you to know about a level III sex offender moving into the area.

Officers say Shane Thomas Stephens, 36, is moving to the 700 block of S. Garfield Street in Kennewick. Stephens is 5'11", 160 lbs., with brown hair, and blue eyes. He moved to the area from Benton City.

Stephens has previously been convicted of two counts of 2nd degree child rape and one count of 3rd degree child rape. Both incidents occurred in Benton County in 1998.

Stephens is not wanted by law enforcement at this time.

A special meeting is held at the Kennewick Police Station, 211 W 6th Avenue, at 6:00 p.m.on
the second Wednesday of each month to provide further information on this and other sex offenders in Kennewick. If you are unable to attend the meeting but still have questions or concerns about this notification, please contact Officer Allan Knox, Kennewick Police Department, at (509) 582-1352.
