Location of Incident: 4th Avenue and Olympia Street

Summary of Incident:
On 10-18-13 at approximately 0852 hours Officers responded to an assault with a weapon. The incident occurred in the area of 4th Avenue and Olympia Street in Kennewick Washington in Benton County.

Dispatched advised of a male that had been stabbed, was bleeding from his stomach, and was inside the bathroom the Grocery Outlet. Kennewick Police Officers and Fire Department medics made contact with the victim inside of the Grocery Outlet.

Upon further investigation officers learned an altercation occurred near 4th and Olympia and the 16 year old victim was stabbed multiple times in the torso area. The victim was treated by Kennewick Fire Department medics and transported to local hospital where he underwent surgery for his injuries.

Suspects are not identified in this case. The incident is currently being investigated by the Detective Division of the Kennewick Police Department.
