WSP and WSDOT are still on the scene, working to clean up potato sludge spilled during a semi truck rollover accident Friday afternoon.
MESA, WA - The WSDOT estimates SR 17 will be blocked until about 4:00 just north of Mesa.
A semi hauling potato sludge rolled over in a curve on a bridge about 12:30. State Patrol Troopers say the driver is a man in his mid 40's and is not hurt.
WSP Trooper Chris Thorsen tells NBC Right Now that drivers need to pay attention when they're driving along SR 17, "remember for passenger cars and semi truck drivers there, north on Highway 17 off of 395 has some curves on it, coming through Mesa area. So just slow down, drive at the speed limit o slower. Make sure you're able to pass through this curvey section of the highway here."
The detour around the accident is US 395 to SR 260 to SR 17.
