KENNEWICK, Wash. - It may be early for the ski and snowboard season but that's not stopping a bunch of pros and amateurs from riding this weekend. The second annual TC Throw Down kicks off Saturday.
Pros from all over the country and amateurs will battle it out on a rail park set up on Cascade Street. Organizer Eric Schultheiss said none of it could be possible without the sponsors like Bluewood, HAPO, Ice Harbor Brewing Company, The Tire Factory and Sporthaus.
"So we bring in a set of scaffolding which you see behind us and the riders will come down the ramp onto a rail feature which they will slide. The more technical they get on that and the style they show us, the better their score will be for an overall score for winning," said Schultheiss.
Expect to see all kinds of craziness from blunt slides to back slides to spins. If you're not sure what those are, you can see for yourself at the TC Throw Down which starts around 2:00 p.m.
Friday night, the TC Throw Down is taking over the Sports Page with a video premiere which starts at 8:00 p.m.
