TIETON, WA. -- People in Tieton dressed up like the dead Sunday but it was not for Halloween.
They held their 4th Annual Dia De Los Muertos Celebration. The festival was free to the public and supported entirely by volunteers and local donations. The event included live dancing, music and elaborate costumes.
"This event is for the community," Festival Director Sylvia Imbroca said. "Its for the community to come together and celebrate those passed away in the past year and also honor the beauty of life that we enjoy."
Dia De Los Muertos is a two day holiday celebrated in Mexico. The holiday starts the day after Halloween and lasts for two days.
