YAKIMA, WA-- One of the suspects in the murder of a man found in a canal near granger last year pleaded guilty to second degree murder and second degree arson Tuesday morning.

James Long accepted a plea deal for a lesser charge instead of first-degree murder.

Yakima sheriff's deputies said Jose Manuel Correa's body was found in an irrigation canal near granger in April 2012, his burned out car was found nearby.

The Yakima county coroner said Correa died from blunt force trauma to the head.

Long will be sentenced Friday.
