PASCO, WA --  A big check will go a long way in teaching local kids how to be healthy adults.

Tuesday the ConAgra Foundation awarded $15,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Benton and Franklin Counties.

The money will help with the club's Eat Right, Live Right program, and the implementation of two other programs called Healthy Habits and Positive Sprouts.

"Healthy Habits, which focuses on nutrition for kids and how to teach them about nutrition. Also, Positive Sprouts which focuses on community gardening and growing their own food in their houses," said Boys & Girls Club Executive Director Brian Ace.

So far this year, ConAgra has given out more than $280,000 in grant money.
