Yakima Emergency Services Explain How to be Safe for Halloween

Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, WA -- Safety is at the front of many parent's minds as Halloween inches closer.

Emergency services in Yakima held a safety meeting Tuesday to discuss ways to be safe during trick-or-treating.

Police say it's a good idea to make sure all Halloween costumes are visible to drivers and don't forget to have a good time too.

"Go out, have fun, get lots of candy and make sure everyone can see you," Community Coordinator for the Yakima Police Department Nikki Sandino said.

Tuesday's Halloween safety meeting was held at Owens Cycle on North First Street in Yakima. Candy was provided.
