GRANDVIEW, WA. - All Grandview area schools and the Mabton Junior-Senior High School went into lockdown Wednesday afternoon due to a possible threat.
Grandview Superintendent Kevin Chase says the lockdown was taken as an extra precaution after a Grandview middle school student received a threatening text from her sister's boyfriend. Chase says the parents picked the two girls up from school and the schools went into lockdown.
Investigators are continuing to look for the boyfriend who they believe is in Mabton.
Students were released from school at the usual time.
