Yakima Police Investigate Homicide after Stabbing, Crash

Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, WA - Yakima Police say they're looking for the person who stabbed a man early Friday morning in what appears to be a homicide.

Police say just after 1:00 a.m., a 21-year-old man crashed his car into a tire store on the 1400 block of South 1st Street. Officers say they found the man inside the car unresponsive, with multiple stab wounds to his chest.

Paramedics took him to Yakima Regional Medical Center where he later died.

Police haven't released his name because they need to notify his family first.

Officers believe someone assaulted the man in a parking lot across the street from the tire store. Witnesses told Police they saw a white four door car leaving the area after the incident.
