KENNEWICK, WA - NBC Right Now's Coats for Kids drive got a serious boost Saturday, thanks to a local motorcycle group.
More than fifty bikers, with the Tri-Cities chapter of A Brotherhood Against Totalitarian Enactments (ABATE), roared into our studio's parking lot Saturday afternoon. They dropped off nearly 200 coats that will soon go to children in our community.
"We ride a lot of charity functions that are around the Tri-Cities area and other areas throughout the state, and we try to give a little bit back too--we try to help out in other areas that we can," said Frank Katz, a biker with the group.
This is the third year the group has made a large donation to our annual Coats for Kids drive.
