Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, WA. -- A Yakima man and his 13-year-old son were rescued from the Yakima River Sunday morning.

The two were duck hunting this morning when an oar of their drift style boat broke. The boat got caught in the current and started to sink leaving them stranded on an island.

The Yakima Sheriff's Office launched their jet boat to rescue them. The pair were very cold but otherwise unharmed.
